Who says having yummy food needs to take tons of time? I know when I get home from work the last thing I want to do when I cook is chop onions and garlic. So with a little prep you can make life easier!
Add some garlic, garlic scapes, onions and a bit of water and olive oil to your blender
Blend until nice and smooth
Pour you mixture into an ice cube tray
Bang it gently on the counter to get all of the air bubbles out and freeze
Pop them out of the tray and put them in a Tupperware in the freezer. Use them in soups, stews, marinades whatever you want to add some quick flavour to.
This is an oldie but a goodie! I have a very busy crafty 3 year old so I' always looking for new ideas and way to entertain him. This is one of his favs! (and mine)
All you need is
-an old container you don't mind parting with
Put the paint in the container and shake shake shake
"Mommy this one is flying out"
We ended up filling this box..now I have all these pretty pine cones to put in jars and decorate
I've never had nice nails unless I'm wearing fake ones. I've been doing some research on different nail care products that can help. One that kept coming up in different blogs and all over YouTube was Lush's Lemony Flutter.
After looking at the ingredient list:
-Fresh Organic Lemon Infusion (Citrus limonum) , Shea Butter (Butyrospermum parkii) , Beeswax (Cera alba) , Lanolin , Soya Oil (Glycine Soja) , Cold Pressed Organic Avocado Oil (Persea gratissima) , Cold Pressed Organic Flaxseed Oil (Linum usitatissimum) , Mango Butter (Mangifera indica) , Extra Virgin Coconut Oil (Cocos nucifera) , Castor Oil (Ricinus communis) , Fragrance , Cold Pressed Organic Wheatgerm Oil (Triticum vulgare) , Lemon Oil (Citrus limonum) , Lavender Oil (Lavandula hybrida) , Tagetes Oil (Tagetes minuta) , Chamomile Blue Oil (Matricaria Chamomilla) , Stearic Acid , Triethanolamine , Gardenia Extract (Gardenia jasminoides) , Cetearyl Alcohol , *Citral , Geraniol , *Citronellol , *Limonene , *Linalool , Methylparaben
And the price tag ($16.95) I decided to make it myself! I used what I had on hand from the ingredient list
-Lemon essential oil
-soya bean oil
-lavender essential oil
-chamomile essential oil
-(I added sweet almond oil)
I melted them all together in the microwave and poured them into a container. I had these jars already but you can even use a clean Tupperware container it doesn't really matter as long as it's clean and there is not water left in it. The amounts of what I added were so small! I only made enough to fill one container which was 2oz of liquid so very tiny amounts of each product.
How did it feel you ask? Amazing! I just massaged it into my nails and cuticles and it didn't leave a greasy feeling at all. I even got the hubby to try it. Now the trick is going to be using it every night before I go to bed.
Well wish me luck on my journey to healthier nails:)
